potholes

Potholes in yr phone

My idea is an app that warns you when your nearing a pothole at speed, and warns you several seconds in advance. If you hit a pothole you can mark it’s location with 1 button press and it will be added to the database, so others are alerted of it. Reported and verified potholes will automatically send a message to the local government alerting them of it, and asking that it be fixed. The app will thank you for contributing to better streets, and prevent frustration, damage, and accidents from potholes. The app will be integrated with google maps for functionality.

Shoe Guru!

This smart phone application connects the user with his/her deepest desire, the perfect shoe! Whether you’re suffering from shoe envy or just looking to enhance you’re state of mind, rest assured this app has a solution for you. Simply use your camera to snap a picture of the perfect pair. Set material and price constraints if you so choose, or just let Shoe Guru go to town, searching all ends of our extensive shoe database. While you wait (though ideally there would be no wait with immediate results) peruse a catalog of this seasons most searched styles while a status bar and count of searched shoes is displayed unobtrusively on the bottom of the screen. The search is only over when Shoe Guru lands on the perfect pair or when a selection of nearly perfect matches is complied, connecting users with the ultimate shoe.

Polite attributes:
This app is mainly about convenience. It requires very little from the user and relies on photo recognition software.  However, for those users who chose desire more interaction, they have the option to do so. It lets you know exactly how much work it has done for you with a progress bar and again when the search is complete, alerting you of just how many pairs it has checked for just the right match. The aesthetics of the interface would be minimalistic and the color scheme would be pleasantly subtle.
